Czech Students Design the Inaugural WoodPoP Dara Award Trophy

A new award deserves a distinctive trophy. As WoodPoP prepares the first edition of the WoodPoP Dara Award, students from two Prague-based schools are shaping what the winners will hold in their hands on 26 November 2026, when the award ceremony takes place in Prague.

Czech WoodPoP members from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Czech Forestry Institute invited students from two schools in Prague to design the trophy for all award winners. From September to December 2025, nine students from the Secondary Professional School of Applied Arts and thirteen students from the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University developed trophy concepts and then presented their final designs to the representatives of both institutions.

After reviewing many impressive proposals, the representatives selected six finalists. These students will present their prototypes to the WoodPoP Dara Award Steering Group in March. The winner will be announced shortly afterwards.
