WoodPoP Dara Award Jury Completes Assessment of Applications
The 22-member pan-European jury of the 2026 WoodPoP Dara Award has completed its assessment of all 59 applications submitted this year, marking the close of one of the most substantial stages in the Dara Award process to date.
Applications were reviewed across four categories: Non-Residential Buildings, Residential Buildings, Infrastructure, and Renovation/Extension/Build-on-top. Together, they represent sustainable timber construction projects from 22 European countries.
The jury, comprising one expert per participating country, carried out its assessments through the Evalato platform. To preserve impartiality, jurors were not permitted to assess applications nominated by their own country, a conflict-of-interest safeguard applied consistently throughout the process.
The Dara Award was established as a recognition, not a competition. Every application submitted in this first edition of the award reflects a genuine and considered contribution to sustainable timber construction across Europe, and the WoodPoP Dara Award 2026 panel of jurors have given this process the time and rigour it deserves.
Looking ahead
Recognised projects will be celebrated at the Dara Award Ceremony, taking place in Prague on 26 November 2026.
