Twenty-Two Countries Join the Inaugural WoodPoP Dara Award
The application period for the inaugural WoodPoP Dara Award officially closed on 22 April 2026, with nominees from 22 countries across the Pan-European region taking part in this first edition.
The breadth of participation reflects a shared commitment across Europe to celebrating excellent sustainable timber architecture. The Dara Award is an initiative of the European Wood Policy Platform (WoodPoP) to shine a light on wood as a building material — its innovativeness, its versatility, and its role in a more sustainable built environment.
WoodPoP extends its gratitude to the National Focal Points who coordinated the nomination process in their respective countries, as well as to all national nominees who took the time to complete the application.
The Dara Award Steering Committee will now review all submissions, followed by the jury process. Further updates will be shared in due course.
