We are pleased to announce that the Wood Policy Paper, “A Wood-Based Circular Bioeconomy For A Sustainable Europe: Green Construction and Innovative Wood Solutions”, endorsed on 6 November 2024, is now accessible to French-speaking audiences.

The European Wood Policy Platform (WoodPoP) brings together a diverse range of public and private stakeholders along the wood-based value chain. This includes policymakers, industry experts, scientists, and researchers, all collaborating to foster a common understanding of a sustainable wood policy in Europe. This Wood Policy Paper represents a collective commitment to an economically valuable, ecologically sensitive, and socially responsible timber industry, reinforcing the position of the wood-based sector as a crucial element to mitigate climate change and support a clean, just and competitive transformation of Europe.

The French translation of the Wood Policy Paper signifies WoodPoP’s dedication to accessibility and inclusivity, two elements that are important in fostering two of WoodPoP’s values as a platform: connection and collaboration. By making this paper available to French audiences, WoodPoP strengthens its goal of fostering connections and promoting a better understanding of the importance of a sustainable wood-based circular bioeconomy.

Their support helps share the Wood Policy Paper’s key messages with French-speaking stakeholders, advancing a shared vision for a sustainable wood-based bioeconomy that supports healthy forests, strong local economies, and innovative, sustainable wood product use taking into account national, regional, sub-regional diversity and specific policy needs.

We invite all interested public and private actors to access the French version of the Policy Paper and join us in our commitment to strengthen the role of wood to mitigate climate change and support a clean, just and competitive transition of Europe.
