Ralf Koehler is Co-Lead Partner of the Technical Working Group ‘Research & Innovation’ within the European Wood Policy Platform. In his current role as Business Relationship Manager and Head of the Wood Industry Cluster at Luxinnovation GIE, Luxembourg’s national innovation agency, he is committed to advancing cross-sector collaboration and driving innovation in the wood and forestry sectors.

Ralf holds two academic degrees in Forestry, Resource and Energy Management, complemented by advanced training in Climate Management, Sustainable Finance, and the Circular Economy. With his professional experience in business development, operational management and technical project engineering in both private and public companies, he brings a broad and competent perspective to his work.

As a strategic thinker with visionary leadership skills, he is dedicated to fostering business innovation and interdisciplinary research cooperation in Luxembourg and Europe. At the heart of his work is a dedication to promoting Luxembourg as a centre for wood-based innovation, supporting the digital transformation of the forestry and timber industries, and encouraging sustainable, circular construction practices. Through his active role in the European Wood Policy Platform, Ralf contributes to advancing cutting-edge technologies and strengthening economic partnerships at a European level.
