Petri Heino

Petri Heino has a range of diverse international work experiences including extinguishing wildfires in Oregon to building up art exhibitions. Throughout his career, he built up extensive knowledge and network in the forest-based bioeconomy sector including the end-uses having worked in the Finnish Forest Industries Federation and Wood Focus, then as Managing Director of the Finnish Timber Council and Research Manager for Wood Construction and Wood Design before joining Ministry of Environment in 2016. In this role, he built up and oversaw the national Wood Building Program and initiated and co-chaired the European Wood Policy Platform.
